Welcome
In my practice, I understand that choosing to find a therapist is an important personal decision. Engaging in therapy asks for openness and bravery. We bring our daily anxieties, stressors, problems, and all of our discomforts into therapy. We often ask for help when our discomfort is greater than our sense of ease and we see that our ways of coping are not effective. Therapy can be a reboot, maybe a turning point, providing fresh perspective and new ways to engage and live a fuller, richer, life.
Therapy Can Help To:
Get a better perspective on thoughts and feelings: We can learn to see how our thoughts and feelings keep us engaged in behaviors that are incompatible with the life we really want to live and the person we really want to be.
Improve relationships: Better communication helps to create deeper understanding of ourselves and others, leading to stronger connections.
Build resilience: We can learn to handle the emotional storms, while staying grounded, engaged, and focused on what really matters to us, day to day.
Increase self-acceptance and self care: Our physical and emotional health is greatly impacted by our capacity to accept ourselves and treat ourselves with kindness and good care.
Be more present with ourselves and with others: Skills that strengthen the mind’s ability to focus and pay attention, help us to be more present in our everyday lives. This can help us to feel less anxious and/or depressed.
